This Irish bouzouki began as a parlor guitar, but what turned out to be a lucky mistake put a hole in one side. The installation of a side port and conversion to bouzouki opened the instrument for an amazing sound. This design has already become a model for new custom instruments. Maine red spruce top, mahogany body & neck, ipe fretboard & bridge, 24 7/8″ scale. Currently it’s tuned to FCGC, but could be GDAD, GDAE, etc. with slightly smaller gauges. $1650.
