Custom cittern, che chen and spruce – SOLD

New cittern (or 10 string bouzouki) with mind boggling sound and action. Maine red spruce top, same genus as Adirondack; che chen back, sides, and head overlay, pickguard (installation TBD). Ebony for fretboard, bridge, and tailpiece supplied by customer. Pearl the mermaid set in a background of Goncalo Alves, framed w. rosewood & curly maple on finial of iroko. Maple binding also w. purfling lines of Corian ™. Rosette is India rosewood w. abalone circle. Head inlay my logo of white Corian moon & brass dot representing Venus. The sound hole insert is cut from one supplied by www.lutehole.com and is removable to access the truss rod thru the upper brace. K&K twin spot internal pickup.

I tune these standard to DADAD but many variations possible. Scale (vibrating string length) is 25 21/32″, nut width 1 3/4. LOA is 41″, body 20″,width 16 14 x 4.5 deep. As strung now, .028/054, .038, .032, .020, .013. Needs a Hiscox Pro-II case GAJ 010 or a gig bag due to the shape.  SOLD $4600.
