Newest guizouki (a guitar shaped Irish bouzouki / tenor mandolin), 16 fret neck (21 total). South American mahogany back, sides, neck; Maine red spruce top w. almost perfect grain, Special re-engineered bracing; lots of silking, aged 20+ years. India rosewood head overlay, Gotoh indivual sealed machines; Fretboard, bridge, tailpiece (w. brass layer), pick guard, heel cap are authentic Brazilian rosewood (cutoffs from a factory, aged 60 year or more – priceless, and never the like to be seen again).
Rosette is synthetic malachite by Corian (DuPont countertop); bridge a new design for me. Glued to top but the saddle is floating for adjusting intonation precisely. Tailpiece is a rosewood/brass sandwich with the easiest possible string changing, latest version. Twin spot K&K internal pickup installed, true acoustic sound.
Overall length 39″, body 18″ x 13 1/2 x 3 1/2; string scale 25 3/8″ +; nut width 1 1/2″ for wide fingertips, extremely easy action. The neck has a standard double adjustable truss rod for 4 mm hex wrench, and also has an easy backset adjustment which can raise or lower the strings’ clearance above the frets–in any season, humidity level.
This instrument is a powerhouse at a special sale price! Available as is or w. case & shipping if needed; K&K twin spot pickup all installed. Special summer sale price!
